BVB and Unyfy are intensifying their collaboration in the areas of loyalty and fan engagement

Braunschweig, 12.12.2023

Borussia Dortmund and the Braunschweig-based company Liquiditeam are intensifying their collaboration that began in 2020. BVB aims to create innovative and new offerings for its fans and partners, focusing on loyalty and fan engagement. To lay the conceptual foundation for this, BVB relies on Unyfy, the platform builder of the company focused on the sports and media market.

Carsten Cramer, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund, stated, “We have known and appreciated Liquiditeam’s expertise and innovative Unyfy solution for years. Now, we want to take our collaboration to the next level and jointly address one of the major challenges in football: the lasting engagement of younger fan generations with our club. We aim to develop contemporary offers, especially from a fan’s perspective. Together with Liquiditeam, we are laying the conceptual foundations for this project.”

Drawing on the experience gained with the BlackYellow App based on Unyfy – the Web3 community platform for BVB fans worldwide – the new project will develop relevant and scalable concepts and solutions for BVB fans and partners.

Hendrik Hoppenworth, Managing Director of Liquiditeam GmbH, expressed great excitement that BVB continues to rely on Unyfy for its digital future and is intensifying the collaboration. He is convinced that Borussia Dortmund will create attractive new digital offers for the entire BVB family with Unyfy.

Alexander Mühl, Director of Marketing and Digitalization at BVB, emphasizes the rewards for fan loyalty and the enhancement of engagement across platforms: “Creating real added value for fans and partners is crucial for BVB’s digital development. Working with the Unyfy team was a logical step, as few understand as well as they do how new technologies can connect sports and clubs with their fans.”

According to Thomas Euler, one of the co-founders and Managing Directors of Liquiditeam, sports clubs face the significant challenge of providing attractive digital offerings to both fans and partners. It is crucial for clubs to establish their own platforms beyond social media to secure the value of their brand in the digital competition and to be as independent as possible. “Our mission is to provide the sports industry with turnkey solutions that benefit fans, sponsors, and the clubs themselves. Therefore, we are very excited to work with BVB on the future of loyalty and fan engagement,” says Thomas Euler.
